Trump Happy Over Progress On Defence Spending By NATO Members


Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has hailed “tremendous” progress on defence spending commitments by NATO members.

After emergency talks with NATO leaders in Brussels, he said allies had sharply increased defense spending commitments after he provoked a crisis session with a tirade at European leaders.

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron said that discussions at a NATO summit were measured and respectful, despite critical tweets from U.S. President Donald Trump in the run up to and during the gathering.
